This weekend a few friends and I decided to set our alarms much earlier then previous Saturdays and haul ourselves to the farmers market that takes place in downtown Minneapolis every weekend. We had never been before so I wasn't really sure what to expect, but I wasn't disappointing. Dozens of venders were there with their fresh produce, flower bouquets, and their home made jewelery. This was heartwarming to see because it's important to support local artists and farmers so they don't go out of business. My purchases for the day included peaches, snap peas, cherries, tomatoes, and some freshly squeezed lemonade (which would all be put to use later).

After the market we set home to prepare our picnic. The menu included caprese sandwiches with an assortment of fruits and vegetables. We carried our picnic basket along with our picnic blanket to the peninsula off a trail in the neighborhood. So needless to say it was a success, another item checked off my summer bucket list, and a great day to go out enjoy nature and good company.
